The Friend Zone

I like girls.  Yes, while this might not come as a surprise to anyone, considering my previous post on the finer sex, hear it now.  Ok, we got that out of the way.  For many guys, (and girls, I don’t judge.) the pursuit of a girl/young lady is a mysterious and perplexing process.  For some, not so much.  However, the ones for whom its easy have six packs, chiseled jaws and money, so they should all go to Canada, a punishment equal to death.  (Or a visit to New Jersey.)  For the rest of us self-conscious, awkward losers, also known as teenage boys, it’s not so straightforward.  As I can only speak for myself, I will use yours truly as an example.  Does anyone remember when I said that I liked that one girl a while back?  Right, of course you don’t.  Well I did and still do.  But after pursuing her to the best of my ability, I began to get the feeling of being forced into the friend zone.  For those who do not know the term, it is a dark and lonely place, filled with depressed people and pre-pubescent losers.  Of course, I fall under neither of those descriptions, my case is a simple anomaly, a coincidence.  However, despite my massive amounts of swag and Antonio Banderas-esque good looks, she still placed me in the zone of the friend. (Wow, look at Julian, he can flip the order of words.  He is ridiculously smart and advanced for his age.  I admire him deeply.)  At this point, I do not know what to do.  I have flirted, tried to ask her out, (shut up, you pussied out) talked to her whenever I saw her and was super nice, all to no avail.  My advice to all: don’t get put in the friend zone.  It sucks more than a Saturday night without friends, (That’s all of your evenings.  Thanks pal.  Who are you anyway?) more than waking up early and worst of all, more than homework.  (And BHC.  Sorry, inside joke.)  Therefore, if you are a girl and you know me, take me out of the friend zone.  Please.  Its getting cold in there and I can’t feel my toes.

This blog is informal to say the least. It's almost like an online journal, filled with stories that I find funny, interesting things/links and anything else that comes to my mind. Enjoy.
