Shark Week

There comes a moment in everyone’s life, where one endures an experience that shapes them forever.  For some, it is a tragedy, like watching a Kevin James movie or moving to Wisconsin.  For others, it is a joyous occasion, like getting your braces off or leaving Wisconsin.  In my case, it has been different.  I am who I am because of Shark Week.  And the best part: I don’t even like sharks.  For those of you landlubbers that don’t know what Shark Week is, its not hard to understand.  There are things called televisions that you probably own unless you’re from Bangladesh or you’re poor. (Same thing.)  There’s a TV channel called the Discovery channel about animals and crap like that.  During the summer, once a year, for one week, (seven days) they play only shows about sharks.  Cue the gasps.  Yes, you read me right.  Only sharks.  There are episodes about getting bitten by  a shark, sharks that jump, people touching sharks, people going to the hospital after losing their hands when they touched the shark, etc.  Watching Shark Week has made me a better person.  My swimming pool is much more enjoyable now.  I no longer have the sudden urge to bite people.  I can eat things other than bloody fish… the list could go on and on, but for my well-being and for your sanity, I’ll stop.  But do allow me to leave you with this parting thought.  If you aren’t at home or running home to record every single Shark Week show, I will find you and, let’s just say that one of us will end up a bloody mess.  (Probably me, but it sounds like I’m strong if I say that it would be you.)

This blog is informal to say the least. It's almost like an online journal, filled with stories that I find funny, interesting things/links and anything else that comes to my mind. Enjoy.
