Today is my birthday.  Cue the parades, screaming women, and gift-wrapped vehicles. (Preferably tractors.  I have a lot of corn to harvest this year.)  Yes, I turn fifteen, which in my family means a lot of things.  First off, I am longer allowed to walk around the home in only my underwear.  I am nervous about this change, as I will no longer be able to partake in some of my favorite activities like curling, bird-watching, and watching Keeping Up With The Kardashians in the same way.  Secondly,  I now have to pay my online poker bills, which are tens of thousands of dollars.  What, I’m a compulsive gambler.  Don’t you judge me.  Finally, I am no longer allowed to walk to school holding the hands of my parents. They say that I’m ready, but the thought of going out into the big bad world all by myself gives me the creepers.  (But, I’m a big boy now, so I can do it.  I know I can.)  Anyway, I love birthdays.  I get to sleep late, eat cake and not feel guilty, do fun things and get presents!  The best part is, for this one day, I don’t have to go outside and do manual labor!  Boy, do I love my birthday.  Also, I get to stare at my Facebook wall for hours, hoping that someone, anyone, will write me my first birthday note.  Still waiting… come on guys…  Really?  Congratulations, you’ve now made this post sufficiently awkward.  Moving on, I will be accepting cash donations and checks for my special day, please have them delivered promptly as I’m not feeling patient.  Let’s go.

About julian822

This blog is informal to say the least. It's almost like an online journal, filled with stories that I find funny, interesting things/links and anything else that comes to my mind. Enjoy.
